My classroom is a unique, inclusive space that caters to the needs of six students on the Autism spectrum. The grade level ranges from 5-6, but the instructional level is tailored to accommodate students at a kindergarten to grade 2 level. The curriculum is carefully crafted to address the diverse needs and abilities of the students, ensuring that they can progress at their own pace. I provide one-on-one instruction, adapting the lessons to suit each student's developmental level and learning style. We create a place where students can thrive and reach their full potential, where it is more than a learning space; it feels like a family. We foster a strong sense of community and belonging. For my students, the classroom is their happy place. It's a safe and welcoming place where they feel understood, valued, and accepted. It's a space where they can be themselves, grow academically and socially, and be celebrated.
