  • Supporting Our Newcomers in Language and Beyond

    Funded Sep 19, 2024

It really makes a difference to see our students reflected in the books and materials we use for therapy. Their motivation and engagement is observed to increase when we use materials that they can relate to. We were able to receive culturally diverse books thanks to your generous donation.

Additionally, the trauma that our families have endured also has impacted the social emotional well being of our students, which your donation also has helped with our materials. The social emotional materials we were provided also helps our students talk about their feelings.

Thanks again for making a difference in our students and therapy room. You are amazing!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Aparicio

  • Speech Worksheets for Extra Practice

    Funded May 28, 2024

Having the ability to print out our own worksheets for our students to practice their speech sounds and language skills is amazing. Thank you donors for giving us the opportunity to enhance out skills to materials our students can take home to share with their families and increase their participation in our speech therapy.

From our preschoolers up to fifth grade we work hard to make gains towards graduating students from speech therapy. Student motivation is needed and with our new engaging printout this will make it easier to keep our students working hard.

We are so grateful for your donation!”

  • Using Crafts To Make Speech Fun

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

Your generous donation has helped us with our efficiency to provide quality therapy to our students with various and complex needs. The various materials have helped them engage them in activities that promote communication within the academic setting.

The crayons and markers has motivated students to practice their targets as they complete their worksheets by coloring the targets, and taking them home for carryover!

Thank you donor for choosing to donate to our speech therapy Department, which is often overlooked. We know you have a lot of choices when it comes to donating so grateful that you chose our project!”

  • Silence is Not Always Golden

    Funded Mar 14, 2024

With your support our therapy sessions have become even better. Motivation is key to make gains and with our new materials it definitely has helped with keeping our students engaged.

These new materials have also provided representation in the stories of the difficulties our students face with their impairments. This has helped them open up about their feelings regarding their communication difficulties.

Without your support we would never have been able to acquire these items. Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Aparicio

  • Let's Make Speech Fun!

    Funded Nov 17, 2023

Many times it seems the speech therapy room is overlooked, but it feels amazing to know someone out there actually cared enough to provide us with new materials.

With the challenge to raise the bar on attainment of educational goals, educators along with speech therapists in the schools need to work in ways that contribute to the goals of educational reform to prepare our students for a successful academic career and responsible citizenship. We require up to date materials to address a range of disorders with considerable attention to language and literacy goals.

From preschool up to fifth grade we work hard to help our amazing students make gains towards graduating them from speech therapy. Student motivation is needed and with our new engaging materials, games and resources this will make it easier to keep our students working hard. Thank you for helping us build up our speech therapy materials.”

  • Diverse Books For Understanding Diverse Speech & Language Patterns

    Funded Nov 27, 2023

From our preschoolers up to fifth grade we work hard to make gains towards graduating students from speech therapy. Student motivation is needed and with our new engaging materials, games and resources this will make it easier to keep our students working hard. Thank you for helping us build up our culturally diverse books that reflect our population.

Additionally, our new books address the social and emotional needs of our students. Our school with its increasingly multicultural and multilingual students from diverse social and economic backgrounds have many needs. And your donation helps motivate and engage them in learning, behaving positively, and performing academically. Social and emotional learning (SEL) provides a foundation for safe and positive learning, and enhances students' ability to succeed in school, careers, and life.

Thank you for making an impact in our classroom!”

  • Emotion Regulation Helps Us Learn At School

    Funded Sep 12, 2023

Thank you so much for impacting my students' learning in such a positive manner. The fidgets and manipulatives you donated have helped them focus during our speech and language activities. They are using them to maintain attention to tasks. My students are feeling more in control of their emotions with the social skills and emotional regulation games you donated.

Now more than ever positive social and emotional development is important for students. It influences a child's self-confidence, empathy, along with the ability to develop meaningful friendships and partnerships. It helps build their sense of importance and value to those around him/her. Children's social and emotional development also influences all other areas of development.

Thanks again for your contribution in helping my students explore emotions in predictable interactions and utilize tools to help them regulate their emotions.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Aparicio
