Can You Hear Me Now?
Funded Aug 31, 2023I hope this message finds you well. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your generous donation to my classroom and your help in purchasing a class set of headphones. Your support has already made a significant difference in our daily learning activities!
Having a dedicated class set of headphones has been instrumental in enhancing our classroom dynamic. It allows students to fully immerse themselves in video lessons, participate actively in group work without distractions, and engage in creative projects such as podcast creation (one of our favorite projects this year!). Moreover, for students who benefit from background music while they work, having access to headphones ensures they can maintain focus and productivity.
Your thoughtful contribution not only provides essential tools for learning but also fosters a sense of equity and inclusivity among our students. It removes barriers to participation and ensures that every student can fully engage in their educational journey. Thank you once again for your generosity and for helping us create a more enriched and supportive learning environment.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Johnson

Funded Aug 12, 2023I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to extend my deepest gratitude to you for your generous donation towards providing basic hygiene supplies and healthy snack foods for my classroom. Your support has had an immediate and profound impact on my students' well-being and learning environment.
Having these essentials readily available in our classroom has made a significant difference. It ensures that every student can start their day feeling cared for and ready to learn without the distraction of basic needs. From nutritious snacks that fuel their minds to hygiene supplies that promote cleanliness and health, your donation has created a safer and more nurturing space for all.
Your kindness not only addresses practical needs but also sends a powerful message of support and community to my students. It reinforces the importance of looking after one another and fosters a sense of belonging within our classroom family. Thank you for making a tangible difference in the lives of my students and for helping to create a positive and more comfortable learning environment.”

Falling in Love With Something Other Than Fiction
Funded Sep 7, 2023I hope this note finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for your incredible generosity in funding the purchase of poetry, memoir, and nonfiction books for my classroom. Your support has made a significant difference not just in our resources but in the lives of my middle school students.
These books are more than educational tools; they're windows into different worlds, voices, and perspectives. They inspire my students to explore new ideas, understand diverse experiences, and develop empathy and understanding. Whether it's through the evocative verses of poetry written by Kentucky natives, the personal journeys shared in memoirs, or the insights gained from nonfiction texts, these books have the potential to spark countless moments of discovery and meaningful discussions in our classroom.
Your kindness has enriched our learning environment in ways I cannot fully express. Seeing the excitement on my students' faces as they watched me open and "advertise" our new books by putting them on our classroom library stands is a memory I won't forget anytime soon. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in the power of literature and supporting our journey towards greater knowledge and understanding.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Johnson
Let's Get to the Point (of Our Pencils).
Funded Aug 8, 2023This project was truly a make-or-break one for our classroom.
Because of your generous contributions, my students and I have not had to worry about running out of pencils or penalizing students who need one at the beginning of class; we know that we have plenty for the year and that we can focus our minds on the learning, writing, and growing that we have to do instead!
The pencil sharpener became incredibly necessary very quickly as the year started; our old hand-me-down sharpener finally croaked and our new pencil sharpener became our daily driver! Without your donation, this would have been another classroom expense!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Johnson
Seeing Yourself on the Bookshelf!
Funded Aug 3, 2023Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our classroom library.
Because of your generous contributions, my students have been able to not only pick from a wide variety of diverse and interesting books within our classroom, but they've been able to read for five minutes during every single class without creating anxiety over leaving books at home, not being able to see themselves on the bookshelf, or worrying about a more formal library check out.
This added reading time has completely changed my classroom's culture--we now prize our love for language and learning above all else!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Johnson

Funded Jun 17, 2023This year has been off to an amazing start, largely due to your generous contributions to our classroom library!
Our language arts class starts off with five minutes of silent sustained reading daily, and it has been absolutely incredible to see how engrossed even my most reluctant readers are becoming in their books. Some students even give me daily updates on what is going on in their current reads, while others help a friend find a new book that might suit their taste.
It has been particularly rewarding to see my struggling readers' noses in books; these students frequently lose the opportunity to have dedicated reading time since reading is often something done AFTER a task is completed.
Your contribution has helped place reading and language at the heart of our classroom; no more is it only a time-killer for early finishers!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Johnson
