First Time Teacher Working on Our Circle Time
Funded Oct 23, 2023I would like to thank you for choosing to donate for our rug. When we started the school year I was reading my students books and they really wanted to come closer to me but we did not have the rug to do so. It was really hard for me to explain to them why there isn't any at our classroom. Then one day a delivery guy knocked on our classroom door and brought a huge rolled rug. My student's were asking me what it was. I told them that they have to wait till tomorrow. I stayed late that day and reorganized the whole classroom. The next day I told my students that there is a surprise waiting for them in the classroom. Once they walked in and saw the rug they started screaming and feeling thankful. They were thrilled that they asked me for our morning meeting to read a book and everyone can come and seat on the rug.
Since then all of my students gather around when it is time for read aloud. They feel like home and they listen and understand the story better since they are more focused.
This rug will continue to provide that comfy, warm and safe environment to all of my students and to the students after them.
Once again thank you so much for donating to our project.”

Funded Aug 3, 2023most of my students are English Language Learners that struggle with reading and math. Getting these resources I was able to differentiate their homework and provide them with work that is actually on their level and practice what they already know.
My students were very happy to learn that they are getting homework that is based on their level. Before I get my hands on these materials they would return the homework incomplete or with a sticky note from the parents saying that their child was not able to complete the assignments because they could not understand it. I am so glad to see that every since they get differentiated homework everyone brings it back completed.
My next steps are to continue providing differentiated homework for the remaining school year so I can support my students academically and be successful.”

Funded Aug 1, 2023It has been proven that student's success in school is lacking because of how prepare they are with their supplies in ways that most people fail to recognize. They come to school without pencils, notebooks etc. so, without these essentials, the student is likely to feel overwhelmed or unequipped, which can bring down their drive and confidence.
Thanks to your support my students are prepared and that allows them to find themselves among their peers and feel that they belong and comfort.
When we first got the materials the students were very happy and pleased because they felt that someone cares for them!
One of the projects that we did using the materials was the anchor charts. During math we were learning about data and how to organize them using bar graphs and picture graphs. All of them had to get up and record their answer of how they were coming at school( walk-bus- train- car). When everyone answered the question we created a bar graph on the anchor chart paper and we hanged in the classroom. All of my students were so proud to see their answers on the wall every day!
We been using a lot the anchor chart paper for other projects too. My next step is to post one with some important talk moves techniques so they can improve their academic talk during class.
Thank you for your contribution, me and my students are very grateful.”
