'Building' self-eSTEAM
Funded Mar 31, 2024My students are LOVING the new materials that you have donated to us. They were so excited to see the boxes arrive and we had a blast opening them up and seeing the new gifts. Their happiness and smiles are worth so much. As a teacher, seeing them be so grateful and sincerely thankful for these gifts is extremely fulfilling.
The headphones have been very useful in our classroom. I taught the students how to use them appropriately and how to take care of our materials so that they last as long as possible. This lesson alone, will be one they use for the rest of their lives. They got right to work, using the headphones to listen to books being read to them and watching educational videos for their research projects.
The light boards are being used during indoor recess and "Free Friday" time that they earn as a class. I also plan on using them during our Math rotations with our shape tiles to add a sensory experience to our learning.
Thank you so much again for generosity, it is very much appreciated by me and my students!”

Snacks, Snacks, Snacks!
Funded Dec 12, 2023Thank you SO much for your generous donation to our classroom. To say my students were excited about receiving these gifts is an understatement! They were so happy to open the packages and see what was inside. The stability of having food in the classroom for my students when they are hungry is a HUGE relief as a teacher. My students no longer need to feel hungry throughout the day. Snack time has become a time of joy and community. Students no longer feel left out for not having food from home and I can even send food home with students who need. It truly is an amazing thing!
Thank you so much.”

Keep Calm and Teach On
Funded Dec 27, 2023My students are LOVING the gifts that we were given from this project. When students are feeling dysregulated or tired they are allowed to take a break in our classroom regulation station. In this area of the classroom the students can relax in the bean bag chair, cuddle up with the reading buddies, focus on the calm down tools, and just breathe. So far, the students favorite materials are the reading buddies. They LOVE the axolotls and the space themed plushies. These work perfect in our classroom as we are learning about space and taking a field trip to a planetarium! Overall, the impact on my students will last a long time. For them to be able to see the generosity of their community is an amazing life lesson.
Thank you again.”
With gratitude,
