Engaging Games to Master Our Emotions!
Funded Nov 29, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom! When I first introduced the new activities to my students, their faces lit up with excitement—they couldn't wait to start exploring them.
These materials have made social-emotional learning more engaging and accessible for my students throughout the school year. I love seeing their enthusiasm as they anticipate which game we'll play each day, all while developing valuable skills that will benefit them now and in the future.
Additionally, having ready-to-use resources for teaching social-emotional skills has greatly reduced the stress of creating new activities, allowing me to focus more on directly supporting my students. These games also provide the flexibility to accommodate different learning styles, ensuring that every student can thrive.
Thank you again for your kindness and generosity—I truly appreciate your support!”

Get Excited About Reading With Diversity and Social-Emotional Learning
Funded Jun 14, 2023Thank you again for the valuable gift of books and social emotional learning! These stories support children's understanding of emotions, self-confidence, and how to accept differences. Having access to the books provide my students with an approachable and fun way to begin grappling with concepts that can often feel overwhelming and abstract. The stories are accessible for all students in our "Calming Corner," when they might need a break or a moment to process an event. It is rewarding to see student's independently reaching for particular books when they need a moment to themselves.
Another way the books are used is to support classroom instruction. A story is read aloud to a small group or class, and then a related social-emotional activity is completed. Students love looking at the beautiful images within the books, meeting new characters, discussing events and ideas within the story, and expanding their learning through hands-on enrichment activities. These books allow learning to be fun and exciting – as it always should be!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Shoemaker
