• Celebrating Black History: Inspiring Young Minds Through Culture and Stories

  Thank you for your generous support in bringing new books to our classroom! As we celebrate Black History Month, these texts are helping us explore powerful stories, voices, and lessons that might not always be included in traditional curriculum.

  With these books, my students are not only learning about key historical figures and events, but also developing important literacy skills like analyzing central themes, making connections to their own lives, and understanding different perspectives. These stories have sparked meaningful conversations about resilience, leadership, and the impact of everyday heroes.

  Reading in our classroom is an interactive experience. Sometimes, it's a shared read-aloud where we pause to discuss important moments. Other times, students work in pairs or small groups to reflect on a passage and share their thoughts. Most importantly, it's a space where they feel encouraged to ask questions, make discoveries, and see themselves in the stories we read.

  Many students have been especially engaged with these books. One student was so inspired by a biography that they started researching more about that person on their own. Another shared that they saw similarities between their own family's experiences and a story we read together. These books are making a difference, and it's all thanks to you!

• Playtime Possibilities: Engaging Indoor Recess Games For Every Student!

  I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your generosity in supporting our classroom. Your donation has allowed me to provide some wonderful resources that are already making a positive impact on our students, both in the classroom and during recess. Here's how the materials are being used:

  Dirt Devil SimpliStik Stick Bagless Vacuum – This vacuum has been a lifesaver for keeping our classroom clean, especially after messy recesses! It's light, easy to use, and perfect for quickly tidying up, so my students can enjoy a clean, organized space where they can focus and play.

  Costa Farms Live Plants – These plants are not only brightening up our classroom but also improving the air quality! They've become part of our classroom décor and provide a calm, soothing environment, helping students feel more relaxed during their work time.

  Fluorescent Light Covers – The pink cloud light covers have made such a difference in reducing glare and harsh lighting, creating a more comfortable atmosphere for my students. They no longer complain about eye strain, which makes a huge difference in their ability to concentrate and learn effectively.

  TAPPLE Word Game – During recess or indoor break times, this fun and fast-paced word game has become a favorite! It encourages quick thinking and enhances vocabulary, all while helping students build teamwork and communication skills in a relaxed setting.

  Guess Who? Board Game – This game has been a hit during downtime, whether in the classroom or during recess. It sparks conversation and allows students to practice critical thinking while having fun and getting to know each other better.

  Thanks to you, my students now have a much more enjoyable and engaging space to relax and unwind, as well as tools that support their learning and development. Your donation is helping create a more comfortable, active, and fun environment, both during lessons and at play.

• Spreading Holiday Cheer: Help Bring Joy to Students This Christmas!

  I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your generous support in bringing new resources to our classroom. Thanks to you, my students are already enjoying a variety of exciting items that make learning more engaging and fun. Here's how we're using the resources:

  Heroes of Goo Jit Zu Marvel Mega Mini 6 Pack – These squishy, stretchy superhero figures have quickly become a favorite! The students love using them during brain breaks and stress-relief activities. They also inspire creative storytelling and teamwork discussions.

  Fainne Jumbo Pencils and Sharpeners – The oversized pencils are perfect for my younger students still developing their writing skills. They're easier to grip, helping improve fine motor skills, and the sharpeners ensure students always have the right tools for success.

  Mini Magnetic Drawing Boards – These portable drawing boards are a hit! Students use them for quiet time, creative expression, and even math practice. They're also a fun incentive in our classroom treasure box for students who earn rewards.

  Christmas Tote Bags – With the holiday season coming up, these bags will be perfect for wrapping up holiday gifts for my students. They'll also be used for small giveaways and to create a festive atmosphere during class events.

  Sensory Fidget Toys Set – This collection of fidget toys is helping my students manage stress and focus better during lessons. The variety of toys, including squishies and stress balls, provides calming activities for students who need sensory support.

• An Ear-resistible Approach to Building Reading Skills

  Thank you so much for going out of your way to support my third-grade classroom at Wakonda Elementary. My students were extremely excited to receive their new Bluetooth headphones. For the last couple of months all of my students haven't had headphones, we have been sharing. Now that we all have our headphones our classroom has run much smoother.

  During reading rotations, each student can be on their reading app at the same time. The class isn't noisy because students are all focused with their headphones on and locked in. My students and I are greatly appreciative and we thank you for choosing our classroom to make a difference in.”
