• Gardening With Special Need Students: Having Fun in the Dirt.

  First of all, I would like to personally think all of you who have donated to this project, you guys have made such a wonderful impact with my students. Every day, my kiddos look forward to going outside and go working in the garden to water all the plants and to go check on the worms, which are now starting to give us a some really good soil to work with.

  Because of your donations, we have now been able to introduce new vocabulary into our classroom and really give the kids more hands on learning opportunities and then also you have given us a chance to be more inclusive on our campus. Not only my SEC class has been in the garden. We've also had other classes come in look at the garden and we've even had some of the other general education students come in and help with pulling weeds and doing, a little bit more of the upkeep which has been wonderful. So once again, thank you so very much for donating to this project.”

• Physical Science for Special Needs Children

  First off, I would like to think everyone who donated to this project. The children have really enjoyed the materials that I was able to purchase because of all of you. The children really do love learning about physical science using the materials. Most of the times the children love rolling on and falling on the mat. And while they are having fun learning, I am very grateful that I can teach them about physical science and have them be safe while doing so. Once again, thank you so much for your help on my classroom project.”

• Math and ELA Manipulatives for Special Education

  Thank you all so much for your donation to my classroom. The kids loved the materials that we were able to purchase with your help. The kids love when I bring out the balance scale for math time. Even the students who have a hard time participating will not sit at the table and participate for a little while longer than they would before. Also now that we have the plastic drawers have been a great help for us in the classroom. We have now been able to make more icons for the students to have access to and use to communicate. Once again, thank you all so much.”

• Help Students Learning Essential Life Skills

  I just want to express all my gratitude to all of you who have donated to this project. The students have loved all the items that we were able to purchase. As we all know I asked for some toys for my students to practice dental hygiene. One of my students in particular who run away from us when we asked him to come and brush his teeth.

  In this very short month that we have been back in school, the one student who did not like to come to the sink and brush his teeth loved playing with the dentist kit. He liked it so much that even when we took out the fake toothbrush and switched it with a real one, he was using the real one to brush his teeth at the table. He is even now showing other friends how to brush their teeth! Slowly we are working on him brushing his teeth at the sink. I hope to get this done by the end of the year.
