Loom Crafting
Funded Apr 8, 2024Thank you for choosing to support this cause for my students. Your donation supports all students having access to this club without financial restrictions. Students have had the opportunity to grow in other ways through the creation of this group. Words cannot express how grateful I am to have support to allow this group to blossom.”

Craft Club Creativity With Beads
Funded Dec 9, 2023Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this donation. Seeing the proximity to Belleville and investing in our cause really means a lot not only to myself and to my students.
Tomorrow is our first "make date" to prepare different crafting projects for our upcoming Valentine's day fundraiser event. Students will use the donated supplies to create small gifts such as earrings, keychains, and other creative ideas. We will go on to sell these to generate funds to build into more crafting adventures. Our next goal is to start working with cross stitching. This domino effect created by your donation will allow students of all different backgrounds to participate without cost impeding their ability to participate.
When I shared the donation with my students, there was a positive energy in the room that an individual such as yourself would invest in our cause. Many students have fond memories of using these beads as younger kids at camps or at home and look forward to reliving their childhood in ways.
Again, from the bottom of my heart, I cannot express how much this donation means to our group. Thank you for believing in us and help us grow and develop as a group on the Belleville East campus.”

Hobby Exploration for Students with Crafting Fun!
Funded Nov 27, 2023Your donation to my project has allowed for the Craft Club to grow on campus. The donation allowed the necessary materials to promote students of all different paths to participate and leave with a completed project. The students used the beads to create a Christmas or winter gift for a friend or family member.
When I created what I deemed the smorgasbord of beads and supplies, the excitement was pulsating in the air. I explained to the group the purpose behind Donors Choose and that you elected to support our cause and allow us to pursue building this group and presence on campus. I feel it was a great opportunity to show that kindness goes along way and that this can be something they pass on in their own capacity.
The materials will continue to be used for our first upcoming Valentine's day fundraiser. Students are exited to begin right away and we have four upcoming sessions to prepare materials. Students are taking on different leadership roles in the types of things we will create, to our advertising, and lastly the operation of the fundraiser.
Thank you for supporting this cause for my students! I have such high hopes of what opportunities lie ahead for this group.”

Chemistry Classroom Calculators
Funded Sep 19, 2023My students and I are so deeply appreciative of donating to the classroom project. This project allowed students access for the calculators needed in the Chemistry setting. Prior to this donation, I was using calculators purchased from thrift shops and second-hand stores, but needed to stay in my classroom to allow students access while in my classroom. This has all changed!
This donation supplied students with their own scientific calculator to help them in the chemistry classroom, but also along with their math course. I know a calculator is a small piece of technology in the grand scheme of things, but the smile you brought to my students faces when I told them it was their for the year was amazing for them! The consistency of understanding how to use the device means so much when working with the complicated topics in the classroom. Many of my students are juniors which means as SAT approaches this allows students the confidence of knowing they have a calculator they are comfortable using to truly express their abilities is going to make improvements in the scores for these students.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Moran
