Funded May 15, 2024Thank you for all your continued support and donations to our classroom. Your support has allowed our students to experience the life cycle of a butterfly and allowing them to see them grow from a caterpillar to a butterfly and being able to release them and watch them fly away. Not only we're we allowed to experience the life cycle of a butterfly but also able to grow our own garden. Learning how the plant a seed, what a seed needs to grow and also how the seed develops into a plant, flower, vegetable or fruit.
Your continued support helps our students grow, learn and experience new life skills and technological growth through your donations.”

Funded Apr 15, 2024Your help and support to help students learn about the different environments in their surroundings and in other surrounding areas that they may not be able to access without your provided support helped the students learn about the plant life cycle as well as animal life cycle. Students were able to have a hands on experience with the ability to watch the plants grow and touch the seeds. Selecting their own vegetables to grow and having them experience the way plants grown in their environment from a baby seed to a stem then into a plant allowed them to understand how they are able to obtain different fruits and vegetables.”

STEM It Up in Science
Funded Nov 29, 2023The student's love their resources they received so they can be able to explore the different aspects to their environment. Students are able to use they resources to explore their environmental habitat and the habitat of others . the students have explored the environment they live in and elements that help them and other living beings survive.
The students were extremely inquisitive and excited to explore the microscopes and the specimen that they came with. They were also excited to get to utilize the plants habitat to plant their own seeds and to be able to start to help and watch them grow.
The next project my students will be working on is allowing them to use all these stem resources and the technological resources to create their own environment that protects the habitat they create.”

Although some of the students are able to use the two Ipads that are larger for school work the ability for all the students to use IPads to read my lexia all at once and all together as a group is very helpful to them as they are able to learn an experience the same story together and put in their input and explore details together.
Students are super excited to not only able to learn their curriculum together, they are also able to use the Ipads received to play on Kahoot, attainment to practice their math, reading, writing and science skills plus learn how to understand and use technology.
The growth of my students who particularly are non verbal, has increased their vocal imitation of sounds and knowledge of the use of the technology to understand the images and symbols of items in their environment.”

Funded Sep 6, 2023Our students enjoy all the wonderful donated items. They use the sensory seats daily it helps them enjoy staying seated in their seats. It also provides them some sensory help. The students are able to create and use different colors with the foams to use in science with different lesson activities and in math with writing numbers. Our students use the dry erase board daily. The students write the morning meeting every day and use it to check them selves in everyday.
The students were all so excited when they saw all the boxes. They first saw all the boxes and where inquiring about what was in the boxes. They each got to take out the packages in each box. They each choose their own color for each bean bag they wanted as well as their sensory seats.
The next steps for them to utilize the steps is to inquire and create mindful moments for when they would like to have a combined sensory break. For them to all be able to take a mindful moment together instead of having it separately and knowing how to ask for it more on their own.”
