Stories I Can Actually Read!

Thank you for providing my students with an opportunity to read interesting and exciting articles at their skill level. With the use of Scholastic Scope magazine students are reading articles like, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." We discuss legends that we have heard from our families and how they have shaped their lives. The story allows for students to act out parts. They are excited to use different voices for their character and this opens up their imagination. These are skills that are so important in speech. Future article that the students are excited to read include, "Should We clone our Pets" and the Taylor Swift lovers are looking forward to reading the article "The Great Ticket Disaster."

In addition, to reading the articles in school, I now have the ability to give all students access to read at home. Often times, teachers assign students to read books of choice, however students don't have time to go to the library or can't find what they like to read at their reading ability level. With access to Scholastic Scope now they have so many reading opportunities at home that is on their level.

My hope is that the students will continue to grow their love for reading.”
