  • STEM In Special Education

    Funded Aug 25, 2023

    First off- thank you so much for your kind donation to my classroom. As you can see in the pictures, the students are having a blast with all of the new STEM games.

    So far we have experimented with the Gravity Maze. Since I was able to get 2 of these, I split my classroom into two social groups. We had someone to lead the team, someone to read the instructions and everyone was hands on. From the easy to intermediate levels, students started catching on as they worked as a team to beat the other team.

    The initial response when the students saw the packages was, "This is all for us?!". Every Friday they are asking what the new challenge will be and they look forward to it. We anticipate breaking it out every Friday for our hands-on learning Friday fun day!”

  • Supplies for Success in Special Education!

    We are very appreciative in my classroom this year, and you are a big part of that satisfaction. With this project you were all able to help me provide supplies to each individual student. The bags that were purchased made it easy for me to number them so that each student knows what supplies belong to them.

    Just recently we had benchmark testing in our building and I already had everything available to help accommodate them during the day. A 4 function calculator, pencils, headphones and erasers. That is just a few of the supplies that you helped me with.

    I can't thank you enough for the impact that you made in my classroom. These donations will last them all year, if not longer. Check out the photos I've attached to see some smiles from just a few students that you've made a difference to.”
