  • Recess for Brain Power

    Thank you for supporting my students by providing games, toys, and equipment for recess. They love playing, and movement is an important part of learning in 2nd grade. Students are able to focus more on learning when they have brain breaks.

    Whether we are inside or outside, your donations have provided my students with fun recess options. They are learning to cooperate and solve problems while playing. Many other important life skills are learned through play, which leads to students having both academic and social skills. I appreciate your help!”

  • Flexible Seating for Student Success!

    My 2nd grade students and I started back to school last week. With your help, I created the classroom environment that I could see in my dreams. It is full of choices for seating that meet the needs of each student in my class.

    The students loved trying out all of the seating options last week! They were allowed to choose their own desk, with several options. This included a high table with desks, and low desks with wobble cushions. The large rug is the perfect place to gather for morning meeting, and other lessons. They also love the beach chairs in my reading area!

    My favorite place in the world is Hawaii. The recent tragedy in Lahaina broke my heart. I call my class Ohana, and I love sharing the spirit of Aloha with them. It is because of you that I was able to create such an amazing classroom that the students love. I know it is going to be a great year!”
