An Apple (iPad) a Day for Performing Arts to Play

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the iPad bundle that you donated to my classroom. It is currently being used in our Winter Program, playing accompaniment tracks. I was able to change keys and tempo on these tracks with the iPad. This helps the children to be able to sing to their best ability. Many tracks we used were originally sung by adults, and with the capabilities on this iPad, I was able to scrub off the vocals and raise the pitch to match their voices. I can also store these changes for future classes because of the massive storage this device has.

We will be using this device for many more activities after the holidays. I will have them dive into garage band and programs similar to this. This will give them the knowledge of how different instruments, rhythm, and pitch all fit together. We will also be using virtual DJ a lot coming up in the new year, and it will also help immensely with editing together performances. The possibilities are endless. Your donation has opened a new world in my music classroom!!”
