Kindergarten Fun
Funded Jul 28, 2023We start school tomorrow after having out start date pushed back due to multiple buildings in our district being under construction. We have spent a lot of time getting our building ready for students. I initially started this project to get furniture and a rug that was ruined in the move to our temporary building. You all donated after the project had been fully funded so I was fortunate enough to be able to get some other supplies that would benefit my classroom and my students.
The first thing I ordered was cubes to hold my toys in. These are important because students can't see in them which keeps temptation down while they are supposed to be engaged in learning. Also, they are easier to distribute and makes clean up a breeze during indoor recess. The next item was some magnet tiles, these will be used during indoor recess as an option to play at. The magnetic 10's frames will be use every morning during calendar to help build students math skills. The book shelf holders were important to organize our new reading curriculum.
Thank you for contributing to my classroom!”

New School, No Furniture
Funded May 2, 2023We start school tomorrow after having out start date pushed back due to multiple buildings in our district being under construction. We have spent a lot of time getting our building ready for students. I initially started this project to get furniture and a rug that was ruined in the move to our temporary building. When we returned to our new school we were fortunate enough to receive new furniture. Due to this reason and the item being damaged I no longer needed the big book shelf that I had asked for. Instead, I took some time to brainstorm some other items that would be more beneficial for my students.
Tomorrow morning when my students arrive they will be able to sit on our new carpet and have morning meeting, all thanks to you all investing in my classroom. They will then get to go back to their seats and use their seat sacks that house their materials and get to work on their first day of Kindergarten portraits. Being able to provide students with writing journals saves parents that hassle of trying to find the correct one and allows every student in our classroom the same opportunity to draw and write down their thoughts and opinions. Lastly, the mesh bags will be used as book bags for students to pick a text that is interesting to them and keep it at their seat so that it is easily accessible to them at all times.
Thank you again for donating to my project so these items could be purchased!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Taylor
