Fresh Start: Providing Essential Personal Hygiene for Students
Funded Aug 12, 2024Thank you so much for helping me out. My students were so excited to know that these products would be available to them whenever they need them. They are already giving me a list of things that are needed for next time. They know they don't have to ask they just have to make sure they are not abusing the generosity of others. I have seen a more relaxed class since allowing them access to these items. They no longer have to fear not having basic hygienic items such as deodorant. This gave them a since of peace that I appreciate so much!
I have seen the girls take advantage of the hair supplies and the boys have taken advantage of the body soap and dude wipes. You have made such a difference in these young teens just by giving them access to things that adults tend to take for advantage. Thank you again for your continuous support.”

Funded Aug 22, 2023With your help, I was able to give my students supplies in class. They were able to create interactive notebooks, which are notebooks with notes and activities to give them something to reference when they need help on a subject we are learning. They have thrived now that they have not had to stress about supplying their own crayons and markers. And my desk! It has made such an impact on my performance. I have a place where I can GRADE! We are entering a new semester this month and have to try to restock our supplies but it has been worth it! We are so beyond grateful for your support! Thank you again!”

When in doubt dance it out
Funded May 12, 2023I became the pom coach here at DCHS in 2018. We have gone to state twice and one 3rd place once. The squad we have this year really wants to compete; however, with the costs being so high it seemed almost impossible because we needed to replace items that have been here since I went to this school in 2008.
My assistant and I have worked very hard at making a name for our squad. We perform at every assembly. They attend every football and basketball game and every home wrestling match. They have been asked to help with the reopening of Walmart along with visiting the elementary schools. We host day camps for little girls and try to help the community whenever we can. The goal is to show the community that Del City is more than just a school we are a family and preparing young adults to be amazing citizens once they leave us.
Thank you so much! You have made my girls VERY HAPPY, when I showed them the boxes they all wanted to help me open them! They are so excited to have poms that do not fall apart! We will be using them and wearing one of their new bows for the first time this week at our first pep assembly. Their matching backpacks show their unity and give them a sense of pride. The first aid kit now gives me a piece of mind so that if there is a problem I have the tools to help them until we can get them to a professional. From the very bottom of my heart THANK YOU! Many times I find myself purchasing these items so that I can try to give them a good experience.”
