  • Fueling Minds and Bodies: Snacks for Focused Learning

    Funded Mar 11, 2025

The arrival of the snacks has made such a positive impact on my students' daily routines! Every day, they look forward to their snack break, which gives them the energy they need to stay focused and engaged in learning. Whether it's working through a math problem, participating in a hands-on science activity, or simply getting through a long day, these snacks provide a much-needed boost. Many of my students rely on school for meals, and having these extra snacks available ensures that no child is distracted by hunger.

When the snack boxes arrived, the excitement in the room was incredible! My students' faces lit up as they saw the variety of options, eagerly discussing their favorites. It has not only become a source of nourishment but also a way to build community in the classroom. They love choosing a snack and sharing their thoughts on what they enjoy most. This small moment of joy helps create a more positive and comfortable learning environment for everyone.

Moving forward, these snacks will continue to support my students as they tackle new challenges in their lessons. With their basic needs met, they can stay focused on developing their reading, math, and problem-solving skills. Thanks to your generosity, they are not just learning—they are thriving. I am incredibly grateful for your kindness and support in helping my students succeed!”

    With gratitude,

  • Keeping Our Classroom Clean and Bright!

    Funded Nov 4, 2024

Thank you so much for your incredible generosity and the resources you've provided for our classroom! Your support has truly transformed our learning experience and made a lasting impact on my students' growth and engagement.

The Canon PIXMA TR8620a printer has been a game-changer. Just last week, we used it to print math practice sheets and colorful game pieces for a hands-on activity that reinforced addition and subtraction skills. One group of students created their own "math adventure" stories, combining numbers and problem-solving scenarios, which we printed into booklets for them to take home. Seeing their ideas come to life on paper was so exciting for them and gave them a sense of accomplishment!

The cleaning supplies have also been a tremendous help in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. While students don't use the Clorox wipes themselves, having these items on hand allows me to quickly clean surfaces and materials between activities, ensuring everything stays fresh and ready for their next creative project. For example, after a messy art session where we painted math patterns, I could easily sanitize the tables and keep the space inviting for the next learning adventure.

Your thoughtful contributions have allowed my students to thrive in a clean, organized, and inspiring classroom. Thank you for being part of their journey and for making such a difference in their education.

    With heartfelt gratitude,”

  • "Building Calm Minds and Strong Math Skills in First Grade!"

    Funded Nov 4, 2024

Your generosity has brought so much excitement and joy to our classroom! The new resources you provided have already made a big impact on my students' learning and engagement. From the sensory fidget toys that help my students stay calm and focused to the math manipulatives that make abstract concepts more tangible, these materials are transforming our day-to-day activities.

One of the most memorable moments was when we introduced the LEGO blocks and the magnetic ten-frame sets during a hands-on math session. The students immediately gravitated toward these materials, building towers to represent numbers and creating patterns as they explored concepts like addition and subtraction. Seeing their faces light up as they made connections between their creations and the math problems on the board was priceless! Similarly, the sensory fidget toys and squishy discs have become staples in our classroom's calm-down corner, helping students self-regulate and return to learning with renewed focus.

Looking ahead, we're excited to dive deeper into STEM activities using the building blocks and to strengthen fine motor and counting skills with the counting bears and number line boards. These tools are not only helping my students grasp academic concepts but also showing them how learning can be fun and interactive. None of this would be possible without your support, and for that, we are endlessly grateful. Thank you for believing in us and for making a difference in our learning journey!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Barnett

On behalf of our class, I am writing to express our deepest gratitude for your generous donation to our students with disabilities through DonorsChoose. Your support means the world to us and has made a significant impact on our school community.

Your donation of LEGO magnets and cleaning supplies will directly benefit our students with disabilities by providing them with valuable learning tools and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment in which they can thrive. The LEGO magnets will not only foster creativity and fine motor skills but also encourage collaboration and problem-solving among our students. Additionally, the cleaning supplies ensure that our classrooms remain clean and sanitary, which is essential for the health and well-being of our students with disabilities.

It is heartwarming to know that there are individuals like you who are committed to making a difference in the lives of students with disabilities. Your kindness and generosity have brought joy and support to our students, their families, and our entire school community.

We are truly grateful for your investment in education and for believing in the potential of every student, regardless of their abilities. Your donation has not only provided much-needed resources but has also inspired hope and confidence in our students with disabilities.
