Read and STEAM

Our students were so very excited to participate in the STEAM(science, technology, engineering, art and math) activities from the reading, art, and science supplies that you so generously helped supply. The senior library aides presented our students in May 2023 with a digital book trailer, presentation, and a STEAM activity that correlated with the novels chosen by them. The best part about this project is seeing the pride as the seniors presented the lessons knowing that they designed and created them. We had positive student and teacher feedback from their time spent learning through hands-on activities in the IHS Library.

We cannot express our thanks enough as students and faculty for helping inspire our students to read more, enhance critical thinking, problem solving skills as well as discovering new ways that literature, science, math, the arts, and technology can work together.”
