Cuneiform in the Classroom
Funded Oct 20, 2023Thank you so much for your contribution to the Cuneiform in the Classroom supplies. Experts say that if a student actively engages in an activity related to the content of a subject they are more likely to have a deeper understanding of what they are learning about. By providing the clay and supplies for the kids, they will have a lasting memory of this fun activity and carry this new knowledge with them through out their academic careers. Thank you again for your contribution and know that you are appreciated.”

Eco-Friendly Reusable White Boards
Funded Apr 6, 2023Thank you again for your donation to my classroom campaign for the Eco-Friendly White Boards. The students were so excited to receive them and are actively using them in the classroom. We are all grateful for the new supplies we have received including the erasable markers. Each student received an erasable marker to keep for themselves. Some of the activities that they have been working on with the white board includes note taking, group work activities and share outs. Wishing you all the best with heartfelt appreciation.”

This classroom project was brought to life by LOFT and 14 other donors.Headphones for Chromebooks
Funded Mar 21, 2023I just would like to share with you how excited the students were when the headphones arrived. I wish you could have seen the smiles on their faces! Since their arrival the students have been able to listen to the teacher's prerecorded voice as the text in the lesson is read aloud to them. Their comprehension of the content of the reading passages has increased greatly as well as an increase in their vocabulary.
This technique is so advantageous to the students on many different levels. It allows them to become engrossed with the content of the passage rather than stressing about the phonetic decoding of words that they are not familiar with. They are also able to watch related videos as an enrichment without disturbing the other students. It's a win, win!
On behalf of the 6th grade students in my classes we would once again like to thank you for your generous support, you help make the difference!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Coscio
