Supporting Group Talk in the Math Class
Funded Jul 22, 2023I am so grateful for the additional tools to add to the already donated iPad. This makes taking live notes while projecting and walking around the classroom a much improved experience, especially allowing me to draw and graph in more detail as needed. Students are able to get copies of notes during that time, as they as now saved directly onto the iPad and not just on a piece of paper.
Students are actively using the rulers for graphs, and much needed pencils during class time. The sheet protectors have allowed us to invest in color printing class sets that bring graphs and pictures alive more vividly for students to interact with, without having to waste paper. This has been a game changer. Students are better able to have clear task cards to view in groups and collaborate on, or jigsaw information with each other.
Thank you again and I cannot wait to see how much more I can apply the use of these items in the classroom to support students' group discussions and learning in general.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Boles

Funded May 1, 2023Thank you SO MUCH for the incredible gift of an iPad to help my students deepen their math knowledge. I can now engage students better during lessons and more easily use technology to make colorful, thorough notes. These notes can be easily posted and made accessible to students, even if they are absent.
I love that I can move around the room while explaining problems and not be tied to a computer cord while projecting. I can easily highlight write on graphs and pdfs without having to use markers on a doc cam or on a board.
I get to walk the room more easily while students engage in problems and can track their progress, taking notes for myself as well, to help inform the next lesson. Thank you again!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Boles
