Thank you so much for your donation of the Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards! They have made such a huge difference for my students and I this year! Products I have purchased with the gift cards you provided include the following:

- "Fake News: Understanding Fact vs. Opinion, Perspective, Credible Sources, & Bias" bundle: This information is so important for them to know, not just in my class or school as a whole, but in life! And they actually had a lot of fun learning it! Since using this bundle at the beginning of the year, I have seen them use the information so much and they have even told me they have used in it in their day to day life!

- "Scientific Method Murder Mystery Activity": As a SPED teacher in another building, I do not have access to a lab like the other science teachers, so studying the scientific method feels a little limited. However my students had so much fun solving this crime together as a group! They not only learned about the method, class community was strengthened, and I had students volunteering to participate who in the past were very unengaged!

- A couple articles and worksheets on the layers of the Earth and plate tectonics: These were a life saver when I needed to be gone for a couple days unexpectedly. Leaving sub plans can be hard as they are rarely followed, but this made for an easy day and students didn't miss any learning time just because I came down with a bad cold. I was able to focus on healing instead of worrying about lessons. Furthermore, they were able to apply what they learned about the scientific method earlier in the year to make predictions and find evidence for these topics!

- Human Body/Organ System Interactive Google Slides: They LOVED these and learned so much about this area. After doing these slides they got to choose a body system they were particularly interested in and do a research project on. Of course they knew how to find good sources from that fake new unit we did at the beginning of the year!

- We are currently using a Macronutrients Unit Bundle I got and they are really enjoying learning about carbs, proteins, and fats.

- Looking forward to continuing to use these gift cards as we move into the next semester!

These resources have helped me present the content in more fun and engaging ways. In some cases they have really added to the curriculum I taught last year, and in others they have completely replaced activities I tried that just didn't work. Having this help and support has taken a huge load of my plate and provided me more time and mental energy to focus on connecting with and supporting my students. I truly cannot thank you enough!”
