Let's Grow Some Butterflies!

I cannot thank you enough for your generous donation. My students were overjoyed watching each stage of the life cycle of butterflies come to life before their eyes. Each day they would eagerly come to speech to see how big the caterpillars were becoming, watching them develop into cocoons and finally emerge as butterflies. The students were excited to watch them fly in their habitat and even hold them. They were sad when we had to release the butterflies but loved watching them fly away!

Students were able to further understand the life cycle of the butterfly with the gift cards, books and supplies donated. Students completed art projects, worksheets and read facts about butterflies. For my younger students, having the hungry caterpillar toys helped engage them and helped them understand how caterpillars become butterflies. Because of your generous donation I was able to work on my students' speech and language goals in a fun and creative way. Thank you so much!”
