  • Project Play: Enriching Early Learning Through Educational Play

    Funded Dec 9, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations. The students were SO excited when I introduced all the new math and literacy games that your donations provided. All the games are developmentally appropriate and every single one of my students are engaged in them. They are having so much fun that they don't even realize that they are learning!

But learning they are. Games like the "scale balance" game are teaching students simple addition and how to work together as a team. The "Alphabet Mystery Box" game is teaching students sound recognition and how to take turns. The "pizza" game is teaching students how to correctly count out items and the "lock" game is teaching students numeral recognition.

Thank you for supporting my classroom and my young learners. You are helping me ignite their love for school and in becoming lifelong learners!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Garrison

  • Creating a Classroom of Imagination

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

The new materials that your generous donation provided for my students has brought so much joy and learning into the classroom. It would take me pages to describe all the way that students are using these dramatic play materials to grow their learning and I wanted to share with you just a few.

The ice cream stand has inspired the students to grow their math skills during play as they sell the ice cream to each other and run a shop. The magnifying glasses grow their love of science as they explore things up close around the classroom as well as exploring things they have found outside. The figures with different abilities have inspired students to make sure that are dollhouse is accessible to all by building different ramps and elevators. The play food and diverse dolls make my students feel seen in class as they are able to share with their peers that they eat the food we have in our play kitchen at home.

Thank you for your supporting my classroom and believing in the power of imagination and play.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Garrison

  • Magnet Mania!

    Funded Mar 2, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my little learners and their love of science! The science center I created with your generous donations became one of the busiest centers at worktime every day. Through both guided instructions and independent play, students not only learned all about magnets, but also how to experiment, test hypotheses, and make discoveries. Students were also able to use these magnet materials in other subjects such as art by using magnet balls and wands to make abstract paintings.

Thanks to your generous donation, I will be able to continue to use these materials in the fall with my new class and for years to come. This means so much to me and my little scientists. Thank you for supporting Early Childhood Education!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Garrison
