Making Social Narratives and Visual Cues for My Students
Please help me give my students with Autism the visual support they need to learn better. I would like to muse the thermal binding machine to ake some social stories and communication books
Thank you so much for donating to my project . I have been able to use the laminator and other materials to make visual schedules, lanyard cards, cue cards, social stories, etc for my students who have Autism.
Studies show that students with Autism often learn better when instructions are paired with visual supports. Your donations help me to create these visual supports for my students. I have made these visual supports now for students ranging from kindergarten all the way through to transition age. Thank you so much.”
These books have helped me to teach some of my students that are just beginning to learn to read. The short CVC words and repetition of words has really helped my students to catch on and to feel successful as they become independent at reading the short books. Thank you so much for providing the funds so we could get this book set. We needed these as we just did not have enough books, or the right kinds of books, to make such an impact on learning for our younger students. These books have made a huge difference for my students.”
I apologize for not having pictures of the mats. We did use them last year and it was so helpful for students to have their own defined spaces. I left Sumpter and am no longer in that classroom and I could not find any pictures I had of how we used the mats. I want all the donors to know how much they were and are appreciated by myself, other staff, and the students. Thanks so much for your donation. It is appreciated and I encourage you to continue giving to all the teachers here on Donorschoose.com.”
