Accuracy and Fidgets!
Funded Mar 9, 2024I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donation.
With your help, my students are able to use their fidgets while learning. I believe that we each have different learning styles and giving the students the tools to be successful only helps them grow.
We are deeply grateful for your generous donation. Your support plays a crucial role in helping us achieve our mission and make a positive impact in the community. Your contribution not only helps fund our initiatives but also inspires us to continue our work with renewed enthusiasm. Thank you for believing in our cause and for standing with us as we strive to make a difference. We couldn't do it without supporters like you.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Aileen
Life Skills and Organize
Funded May 19, 2023I want to thank you for your donation. My students are enjoying caring for the baby dolls with the furniture that was purchased through Donors Choose.
The students use the cradle to put the baby dolls to sleep and gently placing the doll on the bed. The students are using the highchair to feed the baby "food" then cleaning up after the doll eats. They are learning what it takes to care for others.
The containers are being used to store items by category. I am able to find items quickly and pull them out as needed. The shelves are being used for art material that the students are able to find and use when they have choice time.
My students and I thank you for being so caring that they can show how to care for others, as well. Without your support this could not be possible.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Aileen
This classroom project was brought to life by PNC Grow Up Great® and 9 other donors.Sensory- Touch, Feel, See, and Manipulate It
Funded Feb 13, 2023Thank you very much for your donation. Our class is using the sensory items that you provided. The students are excited to explore, touch, and learn from these items.
The playdough mats are helping the students learn their numbers, letters, and emotions. The mats give the students the ability to continue with fine motor skills by rolling out the dough or pinching then rolling a piece off to make eyes and a nose to create an emotion.
The sensory tubes are allowing the students to engage with the items in the tubes. They are learning to focus and are aware of the items. The students think cognitively with cause and effect the sensory tubes provide.
The calendar has been interactive for all the students to engage by taking turns with the magnetic board. The students are learning the months, the days of the week, their numbers, and what the weather is that day. It has been a great way to teach the students how to take turns while learning.
We are ever so grateful for your donation. We are having so much fun learning from fine motor skills to taking turns. Thank you again for your generosity.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Aileen
