  • The Student Becomes the Teacher!

    Funded Apr 29, 2025
This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 4 other donors.
  • The Great Grammar Showdown!

    Funded Mar 14, 2025

Thank you so much for your support on this project. Having these resources will allow my students to have high quality instruction, learning, and practice within grammar. As we prepare for testing, we will now be able to have direct grammar instruction every single day. Having grammar games and activities readily available on multiple levels is truly amazing! This will help each and every student to grasp concepts in a fun and exciting way, regardless of their level or learning style. Thank you again for your support and donation!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cornejo

  • A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words: Classroom Camera& Supplies

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

Thank you again for your support on this project. Having a classroom camera has allowed us to do hands-on learning activities, build relationships, and to showcase student work. In addition, this camera has been perfect for documenting experiments and social studies presentations. We were able to take student and class photos during awards day and the Black History program.

Using these photos students were able to write reflections regarding their growth this year and display them beside their photo. Unique activities like this make the biggest difference in a student's learning, and we could not do it without you.

Lastly, the additional classroom supplies such as glue and tissues have been such a blessing. By having the essential supplies that we need, we are able to focus on instruction and help students feel safe and supported. Thank you again for supporting our classroom with this project!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cornejo

  • Book Club or Bust!

    Funded Sep 26, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this project! This is the first year we have offered book club at our school, and the students have loved it so much. We could not have done it without your support! Your donations were able to provide every single student with five amazing reading opportunities that have been such a blessing.

Since this project has been funded, our club has finished two of the books and the students really enjoyed both of them. We will be starting our third book this week, and the students are very excited. I am sure that their love for reading will grow even brighter this year thanks to all of you!

I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you so much for supporting our young readers!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cornejo

  • What's the King of All School Supplies? the Ruler.

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

Thank you so much for helping us to get these supplies and tools for our classroom. Your donations have helped us so much by allowing us to have everything we need to succeed. We now have plenty of writing utensils, supplies, learning manipulatives, and a carpet big enough for our whole class. Coming together on the carpet has allowed our read-aloud time to be more effective and has also helped us to work in groups more comfortably.

Having these necessities makes sure that our time is focused on learning rather than searching for basic tools such as pencils and markers. In addition, because of your donation students each have their own tools instead of sharing items which allows us to get work done faster and more efficiently. We cannot thank you enough for donating to our project.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cornejo

  • New Headphones? That's Music to My Ears!

    Funded Feb 22, 2023

This donation has been such a blessing to our classroom and school. We are able to complete interventions at all levels in a focused and calm environment. We are able to enjoy multisensory learning and research during class without disturbing others. We have loved using these headphones and are so excited to continue using them this year. We hope to continue using media such as music, video, and self recording to expand our learning while using these tools. Thank you again for helping our classroom by contributing to our project!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cornejo
