Empowering the Future: A Gift Card Drive for Student Success

Thank you for your donation to my classroom student store. My students were excited to see the gift cards that were available for them to purchase by using their classroom money that they've earned for following our Therapeutic Intervention for School Success Program. Prior to your donation, the items available in our student store were limited, and not much of an incentive to motivate the students to want to follow the program. We are a Title 1 school, and unless my staff and I financially provide some of the incentives that are not provided by our district, our students often do not have opportunities as compared to their peers.

Our student store encourages positive reinforcement and teaches students the concept of money. Students that were motivated to buy the different gift cards available in the store learned how to practice self-regulation and monitoring skills, social skills, and how to earn money as well as savings and depositing money in the bank. All of these skills taught and learned are essential life skills.

Again, I appreciate that you decided to choose my classroom to fund. The school year wouldn't have ended as well without your contribution to the learning of our students.”
