  • LAUSD Calming Corner

    I want to thank you immensely for the impact you made in the tiny counseling office at Los Angeles High School of the Arts. Our counselors were able to build a welcoming and comforting space for students at our school. Many students walked in and immediately sought the stuffed animals, art supplies, and fidgets for comfort.

    Students at our school experience several challenges such as peer relationship issues, family issues, housing insecurity, and living in an unsafe neighborhood. For many of them, the classroom and counseling offices are the safest places they will be all day.

    To be able to provide a comforting environment made an incredible difference. Thank you you thank you thank you SO much! Our students found a safe space in our office.”
