  • Cha Cha Cha Chia

    Funded May 8, 2024

Thank you once again for your donations. Students are working on a plant and watching things grow thematic unit. With your donations we were able to read books in class that discussed having plants at home. We have a classroom plant now since we are working on the unit discussing plants and when reading the book students automatically started the conversation topic on what plants need to grow. It was amazing to see and experience without much of a push on my end.

Students also used the flower pots to start their own chia plants in which a sponge was used, seeds were placed on the sponge and that sponge was put inside of the pot. Students are going to measure how much their plants grows weekly.

Your thoughtful donations have allowed us to explore this unit with strength and awesome hands on experiences.”

  • Pre-K Craft Season

    Funded Feb 26, 2025

We are so thankful for your donations. Art is a great way for our pre-k scholars to explore the world around them. With your help we will have an easier time making sure the art is seen in school and carried into home as well. Our kiddos will be excited for the laminator so their art can be saved for longer periods of time.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nezey

  • Pre-K Financial Literacy

    Funded Apr 30, 2024

Being a pre-k teacher we work on weekly/monthly themes and we had not fully come into our financial literacy unit yet. That being said students were excited to unbox the items with me. I always like for them to be part of what they are involved with in the classroom be it the little things or the small things.

The wallet is being used in dramatic play for students to purchase their grocery list. Students pretend that they are at the store or getting grocery pick up and they are excited to use the credit cards and the pretend money. The piggy bank is a hit in the classroom as well because although students don't know the difference yet they do understand that the colors on the coins mean something different and it allows us to start a conversation.

Thanks again for helping out our classroom and for the love of learning to start early on.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nezey

  • Pre-K, Learn and Play

    Funded Nov 4, 2023

Students will continue to see the use of the donations with the upcoming weeks because we are moving into our community helper unit. That will allow students to play with the recycling truck. Students saw the items when they were delivered and are very excited to play with the new items.

We thank you for your kind donations and giving our pre-k scholars the learning materials needed to combine the fun with play that also fosters learning. When students are able to choose what they like to do it allows us to have a more organic learning experience.

In dramatic play students have shown their interest in the dress up area with the dress up shoes as well. They continue to show different ideas and creative ways to use the new materials and combine with the items that they have become used to.”

  • Pre-K Communicating Without Words

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

We would like to send thanks for the donations. Our children use the clipboards the most and are able to do small group and whole group activities. They like the challenge of trying to clip their papers onto the clipboards and when they see those come out they realize what activity we will be working on.

The easel paper is used mainly for our reading circle and the activity we work on during that reading will be displayed on the paper such as circle maps, characters in the story, how the story ended, and any other visuals we may use.

Students were shown the crane set and it will be used more coming up when we work on our community helper theme unit that is in a few weeks.

There are not enough kind words to express what these donations do for our children, especially in pre-k with these students experiencing school and being outside of their family units for the first time.”

  • Pre3-K Building To Foster Creativity

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

I would like to thank you for your donation and considering our class to promote early childhood education. We will be using the magnetic tile arctic animals in December and into January for our winter thematic unit. That will be used to discuss the differences between the different animal habitats like the farm and the jungle.

When students first saw the materials they were excited like any four or five year old would be because they know it means that they have something new to play with. When the boxes were opened and put into clear bins that we store the materials in on the shelves they understood how the materials related to what we were learning about and reading about in the classroom. It allowed students to be able to use the vocabulary from the text and for them to bring the two together on their own.”

  • Yay for Pre-K! Part 2

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Thank you once again for your donations to my pre-k classroom. This donation came as me being a first year teacher and it was much appreciated. I was able to find this site through a vet teacher and to share those resources with me and for a project to actually get funded was amazing. When my students saw the boxes they had the reaction of most kids, whatever. It was boxes in the classroom and that is where the thought stayed, that was until I started opening up the boxes and pulling out all of the fun materials that were inside. Students were able to see materials that were relatable to what we were doing in the classroom and it was great to bring that to life for them.

The students really enjoyed the vet kit and the doctor kit. Having those in the classroom allowed for continued discourse with classroom peers.”
