  • Reading Course Needs Copies of the Book Race to the Sun

    Thank you for your generosity. These books will be used in an elective reading class that focuses on mythologies around the world. I am great full that I will be able to bring indigenous ways of knowing to city children in the Midwest. The children will grow their reading abilities and their cultural awareness skills as well.”

  • Flexible Seating for Language Arts

    Thank you for your generosity. The students were excited to receive the flexible seating optionslast spring. Two boys asked if they could help assemble the tables during their lunch hour. Those two boys spent the rest of the year standing at the tables, and their work completion rate improved. Across the board, the classes had improved completion rates, class GPAs, and fewer behavior issues that needed attention. This year's group of seventh graders are making good use of the flexible seating as well.”

  • Reduce Cell Phone Distraction
