Equipping Students for Mathematical Success: Providing Essential Tools for Learning
Funded Jan 22, 2025Thank you so much for your generous support of my classroom! Because of you, my 6th-grade special education students now have the tools they need to engage more deeply in math and build their confidence.
The dry-erase boards, markers, colorful visuals, and manipulatives like fraction tiles and base-ten blocks have made a real difference. These resources help my students visualize challenging concepts and work through problems in a hands-on, meaningful way.
Your donation has also allowed me to create an equitable system, ensuring every student benefits from these tools, no matter their circumstances. You've helped foster a more inclusive, empowering classroom environment where every learner can thrive.
Thank you for believing in my students and making this possible. Your generosity is opening doors for them every day!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Loera
Calming Corner for All: Inclusivity and Self-Esteem in Our Classroom
Funded Sep 19, 2024Thanks to the generous donations I received, the "Calming Corner" in my classroom has made a profound impact on my students. By providing the tools they need to build emotional resilience, we are giving them the foundation to thrive academically and personally.
Our lighted classroom calming corner is a place for students to decompress. The mega packs of colored pens, markers, and coloring books have become invaluable tools for students to use when they need a moment to de-escalate or process challenging emotions, especially when coming into class on a Monday morning or after lunch.
The fidget balls have been incredibly helpful for students to redirect their energy and focus, especially during assignments or times of heightened stress. The yoga balls have also played a key role in supporting students with anxiety or hyperactivity, helping them relax and settle into a more focused state. Additionally, the new color printer has allowed me to create vibrant, visual resources such as emotion charts that students—verbal and non-verbal—can use to express their feelings. This visual support has been crucial in giving all students a voice, especially those who struggle to communicate verbally.
With the support of these donations, my students now have access to essential resources that help them navigate stressful situations and regulate their emotions. WE ARE THANKFUL !!!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Loera
