Funded Apr 6, 2025Thank you so much! I'm looking forward to setting this up and teaching my students how to use these resources to extend their learning. I'm always blown away by the generosity of others. I am so grateful to you for caring about students as much as I do.”

Tis the Reason for the Season!
Funded Jun 2, 2023Thank you so much! The students had a great time creating these models., Having the choice to physically build a model, instead of draw one, helped students make connections between Earth's position and it's seasons. Having to draw/place Earth's equator on the sphere they decorated like Earth, and tilt it close to 23.5 degrees towards or away from the sun (depending on the season) helped students move these ideas from their short term memory into long term understanding.
Several students wanted to take theirs home after grading, and were quite proud of their product. This was a creative way to showcase what they'd learned about why we have seasons!”

Funded Jan 23, 2023Class has been running so much more efficiently with the supplies you provided! First, the students were so thankful for all of the snacks. When they were hungry and couldn't concentrate on their learning I was able to provide them with a snack to get learning. Some of the snacks also acting as great incentives for students to earn points in class for scholarly behavior, which were then traded in for a prize (which included food).
Second, the small trays and Velcro strips have made our class run much more efficiently. Now, when ever a student needs a pencil it is there on their desk for their use. This also helped me save on pencil costs since those in the trays stayed in the classroom for all student's to use. This system helped me eliminate excessive breaking/taking of my limited pencil supply.
Lastly, students had a blast using the force and motion carts! It really helped students actually see the magnitude of the force. The were engaged engineering designing new systems to increase and decrease the force of the carts.”
