  • Light Up Our Learning: A Sensory Space to Explore Letters

    Funded Jan 1, 2025

    Thank you so much for the wonderful light table and accessories! My students are loving the experience of working with letters, numbers, and sensory building materials on their new wonderful resource.

    It is so beautiful to see students excited about a new nice item, something they are not used to seeing and that makes working on the same skills more motivating and extra fun.

    The students are working on learning how to use the light table independently and this also increases the opportunities for sharing and working as a team.

  • Beloved Characters to Boost Reading: Our Favorite Bilingual Book Collection

    My students have been so excited to read this book collection! They have been requesting to read one new book each day since we've been receiving the items, and we have both English and Spanish available. They love the stories and are able to identify words, as they are emergent readers.

    To see the smiles and laughter that these books are bringing into their lives gives me so much joy. Fostering a culture of love for reading and writing in the classroom is one of my goals this year, and thanks to this collection of beloved characters, we made it already.

  • Visual Science for the Win: Learning About Our World

    My students and I are so grateful for your kind donation. Our Science visors have sparked so much enjoyment in our Science lessons and students have become great observers.

    At a time when technology and videos take over a great portion of our school day, I can see how observing a still image and being able to take the time individually, make observations, and start wondering and researching about their observations is a very powerful and wonderful tool to have.

    My students are also learning how to use a tool that their parents and great parents have used before, and to be able to treat it with care and develop fine motor skills as well has been a wonderful addition.
