Supporting Student Mental Health by Providing Basic Necessities
Funded Oct 20, 2024So many students benefited from your generous donation. Your generosity helped to stock the Wagner Care Closet with numerous essential items. Our student's faces lit up and they were super appreciative when they saw all the new supplies. The closet is extremely well used by many of students who would not otherwise have the means to get these items themselves. These donations help them to feel less stress and more happiness thus improving their overall sense of well-being and mental health. Words cannot express our sincere appreciation for your generosity.”

This classroom project was brought to life by .After School Snacks Needed
Funded Jun 24, 2024I wanted to thank you again for your generous donations for this project. The snacks were so helpful in fueling the students working on the Restorative Practices and Students and Educators for Equity (SEE) team. This team's mission it is to increase restorative practices, reduce inequalities, and overall create a more positive school climate and culture. Using restorative practices helps to build relationships, address conflicts and reduce exclusionary discipline. These students stay for hours after school and need these snacks in order to maintain their enegery for this very important work. Thank you again so much!!”

Rewards for Good Choices for Special Need Teenagers
Funded Feb 2, 2023Thank you again for donating to this project. The students were so excited and happy to see all the great reinforcers now available to them! The ability to have tangible rewards for our special needs students has had a great impact. The ability to reinforce appropriate behaviors has had positive results since students tend to continue or repeat an action that is rewarded.
Under this system of positive reinforcement, the students understand that their good behavior results in positive consequences. This teaches them the value of personal responsibility. This positive reinforcement has encouraged prosocial behaviors, like sharing or following directions and has also prevented/decreased maladaptive behaviors. The students have been very motivated by Reward Store and have made excellent progress in their targeted behaviors. Your kindness and generosity has had a positive impact on many students and is greatly appreciated by all :)”
With gratitude,
Ms. Vannata
