Building Foundations: Exploring Shapes and Creativity
Funded Mar 11, 2025Our students have greatly benefited from this project, as it has provided them with engaging and diverse books that spark curiosity and foster a love for reading. These new texts have introduced essential literacy skills such as comprehension strategies, vocabulary development, and critical thinking. Through guided discussions, students learn to analyze characters, identify themes, and make connections to their own lives.
In our classroom, reading is an interactive and dynamic experience. Students participate in read-aloud sessions, small group discussions, and independent reading time. They engage with stories through questioning, predictions, and hands-on activities that deepen their understanding.
One student, in particular, has shown remarkable growth and enthusiasm. Initially hesitant to pick up a book, she now eagerly selects stories and shares her thoughts with classmates. Her confidence has soared, and she actively participates in discussions, demonstrating a newfound love for reading.
Thanks to your support, our students are not just learning to read; they are discovering the joy and power of literature!”

Play and Learning for Little Minds
Funded Aug 28, 2024Thank you so very much for your generous donations to my classroom! The items you have helped provide to my students are going a long way in helping shape their young and curious minds. I am using these items daily in the classroom both as demonstrations for my entire class as well as it team settings where I select students and pair them together based on how I feel they will work productively together in the classroom. I have observed how they interact with one another learning in fun yet meaningful ways. My continued plans throughout the school year is to alternate teams to observe how each student uses the items provided, knowing each of my students are unique and will interact differently. I enjoy observing the differences of each student and from that knowing how best to assist them when necessary. This age group is especially interesting to me because they are both innocent and curious.”

Funded Aug 28, 2023First of all, I wanted to sincerely thank you for your generous support of me furthering the education of my students with creative fun. I designed my project in an effort to build a strong relationship with my PreK students as their teacher to create an environment that's a fun yet educational way to mold their young minds to help them be productive members of society in the future. The utilization of paints I chose are bring used to educate my students about colors and numbers and have them create using these tools to stimulate their young minds. Additionally, I am teaching them how to create and erase their work on the chart notebook paper to better enhance their motor skills and make them curious of how things work through arts and crafts projects. I continue to be optimistic that with the help of these materials, I will leave my students with a lasting positive impression on them as they move forward in their educational journey and this puts a huge smile on my face. Nothing makes me happier than seeing them show an eagerness to learn while having fun doing so.”
