A Question a Day Keeps the Blues Away!

Funded Aug 12, 2024

One of our school initiatives this year is writing across the curriculum. Our PBL class writes in their journals every day during the first 15 minutes of class. Students enjoy writing daily from the prompts in the 365 Journal. Writing not only sets the tone for the class period but provides a moment of reflection on topics that are important to teens. The 365 Journal helps to integrate writing and social-emotional learning.

Our students can center their thoughts on topics that are interesting to them. Some new topics provide opportunities to explore their thoughts in the unfamiliar. The 365 Journal has been a beneficial tool to aid our students in academic and self-development. In our classroom, reading looks like the gently turning of pages at individual paces. Reading sounds like silence as eyes comb through the words and sentences on each page. We are truly grateful for your donation and your thoughtfulness to the self-reflection and development of our students.”

With gratitude,
