  • More To Read Is More To Love About Reading

    Funded Jan 31, 2025

Thank you so much for your donations that brought us a world of new books. Not only are the students excited about these new titles and familiar authors. They are also being introduced to characters from different walks of life, which helps with their character development and modeling tolerance.

The students have been excitedly sorting through the books. They look at the covers and chatter with their friends about which ones draw their interest. When the opportunity comes, they take them to their desk to read. This is what drives the love of reading - finding something that grabs their attention.

We are deeply grateful for your generosity that made this possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Fields

  • Airplanes Are Awesome!

    Funded Apr 7, 2025

We are so grateful for the generous donation you have made to make this project possible. These curious minds are eager to learn about so many things. Flight is one of them. We have a nearby airshow that always gathers much attention. Giving students the opportunity to play with the principles of flight is a wonderful way to inspire education.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Fields

  • Clean Kids Are Confident Kids

    Funded Mar 12, 2025

Thank you for building it resource of a classroom hygiene station. Students who need these supplies will stand a little taller, speak a little louder, and carry themselves with the confidence that comes with knowing they look (and smell) their best. You made this possible, and we are grateful to you.”

  • Where Does Corn Grow Best?

    Funded Feb 25, 2025

Thank you so much for making this project a reality. We are excited to explore more about agriculture and soil science. Really being able to get our hands dirty and see plant growth close-up is going to make our lessons really come to life. We appreciate you and your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Fields

  • Roots of the Agricultural Revolution

    Funded Nov 7, 2024

We are so grateful to you for your support of this project. As soon is I unpacked the root-review planter, students were asking questions about what it was. They were really curious about what we would grow and when it would happen.

We are looking forward to sunny days when we can put these oregano seeds in some soil and watch the magic happen. Agriculture is a key part of all civilization. Students will really appreciate the memorable experience of seeing plant growth in progress and all the way down to the roots!

This planter is so compact and yet so useful. We will be using this for multiple units over the years. Students are volunteering to assemble it and water plants. Your donations made this possible.”

  • World Geography Is Magnetizing

    Funded Oct 24, 2024

We are so grateful to you for your generous donations to this project. Our classroom is a lively place, but sometimes we lose mental energy partway through a lesson. We need a brain break!

These puzzles are so engaging and the students love them. If we were studying the Americas, they get to interact with the geography and wildlife of the Americas. If we are studying Asia, they interact with that. Sometimes it's really a struggle to pull them back to the lesson because they are deep into the puzzle. But it's great because it recharges them and they can return to the lesson with renewed focus.

We're also appreciative of the paper trays, pushpins and window wipes. These all make our classroom a better place.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Fields

  • Helping Immigrants, Refugees and English Learners Feel Welcomed and Seen

    Funded Oct 24, 2024

Thank you so much for helping to fund this project for our immigrants and English learners. We have a bookshelf under the window where students can choose a book when they are done with their work or simply need a break.

There is a spectrum of books about science and history, but not different languages or the immigrant experience. That has changed! To bring attention to these books (and these members of our community) I can now prominently display these books at the top of the bookshelf or on the chalk rail at the front of the room.

Students get interested with the colorful graphics and I encourage them to explore.

We are grateful to you for making this selection of books available. I know my Ukrainian, Chinese, Spanish and Portuguese-speaking Students will feel more welcome because of something like this.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Fields

I teach 6th and 7th grade students history with a lot of science mixed in. Nearly every unit I teach has a bit of science connected to the history. We learn to make connections across different topics so learning becomes a deep, lasting experience. I'm really working on adding more hands-on experiences to further enrich these lessons. Creativity is an important part of learning, and I want my students to show me what their imagination can add to the process.
