  • I Can Hear Clearly Now!

    I cannot tell you how much of a difference these headphones have made in my classroom! My students are spending more time learning instead of trying to find earbuds or borrow headphones. I have a set for every student to have their own now and it saves so much time.

    Many students were trying to use closed captioning on their screens instead of hearing the instruction given in the video. Hearing the video and not having to strain their eyes and their ears to get the information means more information is retained and grades have improved.

    What might seem like a small thing to many people has made a huge impact on my classroom and my students!”

  • Hands-On, Minds-On!

    I cannot describe how happy I was to have this project funded! Math manipulatives are so important for learning geometry. These materials are necessary but just cost too much for most teachers to afford enough for all the students. Being able to use brand new colorful materials means so much to students who have so little.

    I am so excited to use these hands on math materials with my students. We are not up to these units yet but I know being able to use hands on activities will help my students better understand these geometry topics.”

  • Removing Roadblocks to Solving Complex Problems

    My students and I are so thankful for the donors who made it possible to have enough calculators in the classroom so no one has to share. Before the project was funded, I had a box of calculators that I brought from home and there were only about 10 to share. Students had to wait their turn to use the calculator and sometimes forgot where they were in the problem by the time the calculator was available.

    With our new basic calculators, there are no extra buttons to confuse the students. Some students prefer to use the basic calculator because they are easier but some are happy about these calculators being bigger and having bigger buttons. I even have some students who are new to the country and are using calculators for the first. The basic calculators are easy for them to learn on as well.
