Snacks & Hygeine
Funded Jan 10, 2023I am beyond thankful for your contribution to my classroom. The resources you have provided for my classroom has helped me fulfill initiatives that I feel I have successfully executed. Last school year in December of 2021, I lost my mother. My mother had covid at the very beginning of the pandemic. My mother was a passionate person who had a heart for giving and loving, and she has impacted so many lives. After she passed away, I made a vow to go the extra mile to impact my students just as she impacted lives. Why not start right here at my workplace, after all, the children are our future. My initiatives are to build relationships with students and impact their lives by positive reinforcement, providing resources to students, and implementing an entrepreneurship mentorship program. The materials you have provided for my classroom have provided rewards for class engagement, good behavior, high test scores, student entrepreneurship sign up reward, and providing resources to students in need.
It is amazing how far a bag of chips, or a piece of candy, or personal item can motivate or impact a student. The engagement in my classroom has been phenomenal. Students know if they make an A, on a test they will be rewarded. Students know if they improve their score on a unit test, they will be rewarded. Students know that they will be rewarded for answering questions or sharing their opinions. Additionally, if students are having a bad day, I will offer them candy and a safe space to talk about their problems. Students and faculty know that personal items are available to students in need in my classroom. This reward system has served as an inspiration to my students to go harder and a platform to build relationships and mentorship to my students and other students in the school.
I am happy to share that my student entrepreneur initiative has put over five thousand dollars directly in students' pockets. I mentored and sponsored student entrepreneurs to sell or promote their products and brands at pop-up shop series during the lunch shifts. When they signed up, they received a snack from your contribution. Thank you again for your generous contribution. Your contribution has gone a long way and has motivated and inspired me to get more donors for my students and school. I can not thank you enough for the domino effect of your contribution.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Jenkins
