Calm Space

Our students at Magnolia are enjoying their new and upgraded calm space and putting it to great use. Students from kindergarten to 5th grade come into my office and ask to use the many fidgets and calming tools provided by your generosity to help regulate their emotions.

Student immediately noticed the changes made to our calm space. They love to come in and sit on our comfortable carpet to chat about their day, struggles, and/or highlights of the day. The bean bag chair was also a big hit. Students have expressed feeling more comfortable and joyful when entering the calm space.

We were also donated social skills activities and plan to target students who would greatly benefit from the additional support. Our goal is to create social skills groups per grade level to support their social-emotional development. Once more, thank you for your generous donations”
