Hands-on Literacy

My students were really excited to see all of the new literacy materials! It was wonderful to see their smiling faces and hear their laughter as we explored the Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs. They quickly learned to sort the objects by beginning sounds and are now working to sort by ending sounds. The variety of objects in the tub is also terrific for teaching new vocabulary to my English Language Learners!

The magnetic letter tiles are perfect for adding some fun to our learning when blending letters to read or spell. And the sight word mats add much needed movement breaks while letting my students practice their high frequency words.

The Find The Letter Activity Center is a big hit in my classroom. The kids love to use this sensory bin activity to find and match letters. They learn their letter sounds and spell words while the play.
