  • Toys for Foundational Skills

    My students have loved these items. Everyday they are excited for independent learning time to be able to play with them and grow their social skills and enhance their academic skills.

    Lessons are much more engaging because I am able to utilize these items within the lesson as examples, visuals and manipulatives.

    There has been progress overall within the classroom. Because they make lessons and assignments more engaging, there has been minimal resistance when we are doing work they are not too fond of doing.”

  • Dramatic Play Space

    Funded May 20, 2023

    My classroom's first look at their new dramatic play space area was during our Meet and Greet before the first day of school. The parents were overjoyed with the number of activities available for social skills time and to extend current learning of topics. My students ask daily when they are able to go into the dramatic play area. They are excited to see what's set up for the current day. Since my class is a self-contained setting, we don't have a lot of opportunities for different adults to come in and out, for electives, etc as in a normal general education classroom. This space is also utilized between subjects to break up academic learning.”
