  • Building My Students Up for Success

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

My students were excited when they learned that the supplies that were delivered were donated. They were blown away at the fact that people they didn't even know would donate to their classroom. We are a "KIND" school and they all agreed that every donor knew the meaning of kindness.

My students benefit from the resources every day. I use the Building Reading Fluency Cards in my daily reading groups. They are colorful and engaging and my students enjoy using them to build their reading fluency. The Splash Multiplication Game has helped my students increase their multiplication fact fluency. My students put sheets with multiplication facts in the reusable write-and-wipe pockets. They can easily erase them and use them again. They use the timers to time themselves when they are taking math or reading fluency tests. The star student wristbands, stickers, and pencils are used to motivate my students to do their best.

Your generous donation has helped make my students more successful in reading and math. Every item donated has directly impacted my students in a positive way.”

  • Resources to Help My Students Grow

    Funded Mar 13, 2022

My students were extremely excited when they learned that the supplies that were delivered were donated. They were blown away at the fact that people that didn't even know them would donate to their classroom. We are a "kind" school and they all agreed that every donor definitely knew the meaning of kindness.

My students benefit from the resources that were donated every day. I use the varied leveled nonfiction reading comprehension kits in my daily small group instruction. They are colorful and engaging and my students enjoy building their reading comprehension and test-taking skills using interesting nonfiction passages. The multiplication machines have helped my students increase their multiplication fact fluency quickly. I have noticed they have mastered their facts quicker this year than in years past using the machines.

Your generous donation has helped make my students more successful in reading and math. Every item donated has directly impacted my students in a positive way. Thank you again for your kindness.”

  • Supplies For Tomorrow's Leaders

    Funded Aug 10, 2015

My students were extremely excited when they learned that the supplies that were delivered were donated. They were amazed and blown away at that fact that people that didn't even know them would donate to their classroom. We are a "kind" school and they all agreed that every donor definitely knew the meaning of kindness.

My students use their supplies everyday. They have a colored folder for each subject. The folders allow them to easily put away and find assignments. We created privacy folders to use during testing with the colored file folders. I use one colored folder for each student to file away graded work. My students put sheets with multiplication facts into the sheet protectors and use their dry erase markers to practice their facts. Then they easily erase and use it again. They save paper by reusing the sheets daily. We also put the colored paper into a sheet protector and made individual white boards that the students use daily. I was able to make a brightly colored monthly reading calendar for all my students with the colored paper. I also send home a colored monthly newsletter to parents.

Your generous donation has helped make my students more organized. They can easily find their assignments in their colored folders. When students can find things quickly time is not wasted and instructional time is maximized. Every item donated has directly impacted my students in a positive way. Thank you again for your kindness. You have helped to make this a wonderful and organized year for my amazing students.”

  • Keep Us Moving! Keep Us Learning!

    Funded May 18, 2013

My students were filled with excitement when they received all their new P.E. equipment. It felt like Christmas in August in my classroom the day the boxes arrived. The look on their faces was priceless. They couldn't wait to start using the equipment. They had access to the equipment the next day. They couldn't believe that people that didn't even know them would donate to their classroom so they could be more active and healthy students. We are a "Kind" school that does random acts of kindness for one another on a daily basis. My students will never forget the act of kindness you showed by donating to their classroom. They talk about it all the time.

The equipment is used daily. Students are allowed to check out equipment to use during lunch recess. In addition, it is used during structured recess and P.E. The equipment has also been used for school wide fitness days as well.

During structured recess I have been able to plan more engaging lessons for my students because of all the new equipment. Research shows that students preform better academically if they are actively engaged in physical activity daily for at least 30 minutes a day. I have been able to keep my students moving because of your generous donation. My equipment bag once held one flat ball and now it holds a variety of options for my students to choose from. Once again thank you for your generosity.”

  • Countdown to Successful Readers!

    Funded Apr 7, 2011

I want to let you know how touched my students were that people that didn't even know them donated timers to their classroom. It sparked up a conversation of what they could do to help others in their community. They left for summer break with a goal of volunteering to do something that would benefit the community. I appreciate that you chose my wonderful students to donate to. The timers were in the students hands and were being used the day they arrived. We couldn't open up the box fast enough

The students used the timers during independent, partner, small group and whole group reading. They were extremely excited that they didn't have to use the clock on the wall anymore or the dollar store timers that stopped working in between timed readings to keep track of their words read per minute. The end of the year fluency reading scores for my class increased significantly. I truly believe that one of the reasons was the digital timers that motivated my students to want to read more. Once again thank you for your generous donation. ”

I teach an outstanding group of fourth graders in a high-needs community. In the beginning of the year, I had many students who were struggling in reading. Now they are all becoming confident, successful readers! I introduced timed readings to help with their reading fluency. Research has shown that multiple timed readings of the same passage can help improve reading fluency. They are given a district required timed reading assessment that focuses on how many words they can read in a minute. Through timed readings they have the opportunity to practice their reading in groups, with partners and independently. The students love to do timed readings.
