    I wanted to reach out and say thank you so much for giving my students the opportunity to explore graphic novels in meaningful ways with book groups! My students are talking with each other about what they are reading and exploring new ideas that they can relate to.

    This type of reflection is important as they enter middle school and high school because it give students the opportunity to interact deeply with what they are reading. These graphic novels have allowed my students to practice this skill in a fun and meaningful way!

  • Books, Class Games, Art Supplies, and Calm Corner Essentials!

    I was so excited to transition from a 1st grade teacher to a 6th grade teacher because of the opportunities to explore higher level books. It is also important for me to find meaningful books that my students could relate to, which meant that I needed to supply my classroom library with indigenous authors.

    I was excited to see so many options out there and even more excited that I could supply it into my classroom. In my class, we read every day in a variety of ways to ensure that students are learning from a wide range of texts. I'm so excited to grow my classroom library further as I continue to teach 6th grade and support these young readers!”

  • A Creative New Way To Build

    My students have been greatly enjoying these new tools because they have allowed them to build and be engaged in different projects. Every day they are trying out a new method of building and I have noticed more engagement overall. When my students first saw the materials, they were so excited and students who normally are not interested in building started wanting to participate! It has been so fun to see my students explore different ways to use shapes and tools -- I believe it has made a big impact!
