Building a Second Grade Library that Encourages Reading
Funded Jul 26, 2024Thank you so much for contributing to my second grade classroom library. Transitioning from 5th grade to 2nd grade this year has been a big adjustment, but because of your generosity I did not have to worry about if my students would have age appropriate books or not.
My students are working hard this year on reading comprehension skills. The books you supplied makes reading comprehension work fun for them. They look forward to answering questions about the text they have picked from our library.
Some of my students' favorite series are the Junie B. Jones series and the Magic Tree House series. They truly are appreciative of your generosity as well. Thank you for making such a big difference in my students' education!”

TPT - Supporting Second Grade Knowledge
Funded Jul 11, 2024I am so glad to be able to provide my students with curriculum-aligned activities this school year thanks to your donation! Teachers Pay Teachers offers teachers a wide variety of resources that can be used in the classroom. For example, I can purchase worksheets, task cards, notes, games, anchor charts, etc. off of Teachers Pay Teachers that will improve my students' learning process.
Often times, worksheets and activities provided by the curriculum don't capture students' attention and they often lose interest. Materials off of Teachers Pay Teachers will allow my students to be reeled into the activity and hold their interest all while learning. I am grateful for your generous donation to my classroom and my students. We appreciate you!”

Help Spark 5th Grade Project Creativity
Funded Feb 10, 2024Thank you so much for donating the art supplies to my classroom! I am always looking for ways to incorporate creativity into my classroom. While the computers are great, I thoroughly enjoy watching my students create with their hands. The art supplies you donated to my classroom will allow my students to do just that!
One of my favorite things to do with art supplies in my classroom is group projects. I love watching my students collaborate with one another and build relationships within the classroom. Not all of my students have equal opportunity to art supplies, which can make creativity difficult in the classroom at times. I am so excited to be able to offer each of my students the same opportunity to create and learn while doing it! Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom. My students and I appreciate it so much!”

Stools for Small Group Time
Funded Mar 12, 2024Thank you so much for donating these lovely, new stools to my title one fifth grade classroom at J.B. Fisher. As many people could imagine, teaching fifth grade is an adventure! My students are so energetic and ready to learn that my stools I purchased at the beginning of the school year unfortunately started to deteriorate and break mid-year.
Stools are vital to an organized transition in my classroom during math and science stations. Without stools at my back table, students are having to drag chairs to and from their desks every 15 minutes or so during station time, which creates disorganization and wastes valuable instruction time.
With your help, these new stools will allow my students to get to their small group at my back table quickly and efficiently. These stools will maximize instruction time and minimize distractions! I cannot thank you enough for showing such kindness to both me and my students!”

Snackin' in 5th Grade
Funded Sep 28, 2023Thank you so much for donating to our classroom! Our school has 5th grade lunch scheduled for 1:00pm, which is quite late. Not every student has the funds at home to provide themselves with an 11:30am snack each day. With this project, I was able to feed those students a snack each day to hold them over until lunch. In effect, this allowed them to focus more during math class and get their work done without an empty stomach. The cart allowed my students' snacks to be kept in a sanitary, organized place. My students were so excited when they learned they'd have snacks to choose from each day. It warmed my heart seeing their faces.”

Flexible Seating for Fifth Grade!
Funded Jun 27, 2023Your kindness has resulted in so much joy and comfort while learning for my fifth graders this year! As educators, we all know that not each student learns the same way. Many students aren't able to focus or concentrate in your standard school desk. Students may require movement to redirect their energy while working and flexible seating is a great way to do that!
My students were beyond excited when they saw all of the flexible seating they get to choose from in fifth grade. The look forward to flexible seating during independent work. My students use the flexible seating responsibly and know that it serves a purpose in our classroom. My students and I cannot thank you enough for showing so much kindness towards our classroom.”

TpT- Supporting Fifth Grade Knowledge
Funded Aug 11, 2023It's difficult to put into words just how much your kindness has impacted our classroom! We are so overjoyed. Both my students and I appreciate your donation to our classroom greatly. It's really special to see people give to our community and our school, knowing that when they do that they are making a difference in the lives of 50 fifth graders and an educator.
My students have loved completing activities and work off of the Teachers Pay Teachers website. While Teachers Pay Teachers does offer free downloads, a lot of the more detailed activities and thorough worksheets cost money. I have been able to purchase interactive notes for my fifth graders along with worksheets that match our standards of learning. I believe that these resources have drastically improved my students' learning.
Thank you so much for your kindness towards both me and my students.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Burton
