    The books are teaching them important social emotional learning lessons as well as helping them navigate peer situations. We are so grateful for these books and we couldn't have filled our classroom library without the incredibly generous donation.

    The students are learning how to regulate their emotions and using these books helps them understand that the characters are facing similar situations.

  • Classroom Essentials Are Needed!

The supplies received were really needed in our classroom as we constantly run out of supplies like pencils, colored pencils, tissues, paper towels, etc. Additionally, we didn't have a classroom set of scissors or clipboards. The clipboards have allowed my students to work more productively on the rug and around the classroom. My students were very excited when they saw the new materials that arrived into our classroom.

    Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom library. My students love both series that were purchased for our classroom and they are always reading them.

    Every morning, students unpack and then read independently at their seats. These books give students the ability to look at different types of books as they are comics. As a class and in small groups, we work on comprehending the story and unpacking what the author's message is. We also learn about summarizing, finding key details, inferencing, etc. After a mini lesson on an important skill, they read independently to practice and reinforce the skill learned.
