ELLs Reading at Grade Level!

The day the boxes arrived, my students were ecstatic! I had told them about the project and they were expectant, like me. We were on the Christmas break when I got the news that it was funded. I could not wait to tell them. It was the first news they heard when we returned and the joy and excitement on their faces made it all worthwhile. We all had fun unboxing the package and learning how to use the features on the devices. It was exciting to know that they could not only speak one on one with the device in their home language, but they could take pictures of their classwork, books, any writing, and it will be translated to their home language! Another awesome feature is that they could also use it offline! Amazing! It's not just a translator, it teaches vocabulary, oral learning, recorder, and many more!

Now, I am able to better support and communicate with my students and they, with other students of other languages.

The dry erase markers will last the whole school year! They are colorful and bright. I am able to color code samplers and charts even more easily. This supports various types of learners in my classroom.
