  • Independent Work and Flexible Seating

    Funded Apr 27, 2023

    The addition of having flexible seating in our classroom has made a world of difference for my students. The students experimented and manipulated the seating to make a space of their own. I noticed the seating contributed to the development of personal skills, such as self regulation and problem solving. The students were in control of their own learning which had a positive impact leading to an increase in focus, motivation and engagement.

    The students have benefited tremendously with having the Whisper phones as a reading tool. This tool helped the students hear the sounds and words more clearly, especially during independent reading.

  • A Safe and Cozy Space

    The rug in our classroom has made a world of difference for my students. I went

    from a space that did not support the developmental needs of my students to a space where the class can thrive and learn. Each child has a personal space bubble to feel safe, in control and confident in.

    I wish you could have seen the joy on all their faces when they saw a rug where we could come together as a community. The donations you gave allowed us to be a class and create a normal and age appropriate environment for K students to thrive.
