Rockin' Rug and Helpful Headphones
Funded Jan 30, 2023The rug and head phones have been amazing! Thank you! First of all, they brightened up the classroom. The kids were so surprised! Now students each have a spot at the rug, and it makes it easy to know who their partners are.
Students regularly use the noise cancelling headphones if they need a little support focusing or when they need some cool down time. Students are better at reflecting on their needs and advocating for themselves. The variety of colors allows students to choose one that best matches their style and adds to the fun.
Thank you also for the lined personal whiteboards and fidgets. I use the whiteboards daily for small reading groups and beyond. They save paper and also help me model letter formation. Student handwriting has most certainly improved throughout the year. The fidgets are silent and a couple students really benefit from having one available.
Thank you again for your generous donations! We truly appreciate it!”

Stellar Books for Stellar Students!
Funded Nov 17, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donations! The students are loving the books! These books have expanded the classroom library and helped students build fluency in reading. The students have already grown so much as readers from the beginning of the year until now. Students are now reading and rereading the books independently and with joy! It's been exciting to see their abilities and confidence grow!
These books have added to my read alouds and our independent reading. When I read the books aloud, students always want to read them again on their own. Students also get to choose these books during independent reading. Having fresh books revitalized their excitement and engagement during independent reading time, helping build their stamina.
I have some students who have gone back to their favorite books again and again building fluency. Other students have found new authors and series they like. And the best is how they are recommending books to each other. Thank you again so much!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Coulter
