• Science Basics to Create Good Study Habits!

  Thank you so much for being a part of this great group of people coming together to support and encourage the incredible growth taking place in my classroom. Every day we are pushing ourselves to learn more and become stronger in science and these supplies being brought into our classroom are so essential in helping me try to reach all of my students. But even more magical than that is that you are showing my students that so many people care about their education and want them to succeed and that alone makes them want to try harder and learn more. • Circuit Lab

  Funded Feb 28, 2023

  Indiana has changed their state standards for science two times in the past two years. This has been a difficult transition for multiple teachers in the state. One of the expensive standards has been electricity.

  The snap circuits have been amazing for my students to make the connection between electricity and what it can do. My student's eyes lit up when they saw the snap circuits for the first time. Some had seen them before, but for many this was their first experience.

  This is the first year to use these in class. The connection the kids were making was amazing and some I didn't even think of at the time. Some were saying things like "Why won't this light up?", "Wait, it should be working!" and many other connections being made. Once I guided them upon how electricity works, they could immediately see why they were wrong upon putting the circuits together. The connections were just awesome to see.

  Thank you so much for this opportunity for my students. They really loved the circuits and are asking for more ways to use them in labs.”

• Modeling for Success!

  I am so excited to see that this project has funded. I can't wait to know that the kids are going to get the opportunity to learn about bonding and chemistry. It is so hard to learn these topics. I know it is hard as a 7th grader to understand advanced chemistry. The support of the DonorsChoose community is overwhelming and I feel so blessed to know so many people that value public education as much as you do. Thank you again for allowing me to provide these materials for my children. The need of developmental play is so great and this project will certainly help with that need.”
